The Bard's Journey

An Instrumental Odyssey

I "wrote" the music for this tape over a two year period. The word 'wrote' is in quotes because I never really wrote anything down in standard musical notation. I understand about modern classical notation, in theory, but it is foreign to me. Instead I composed the music in my heart then wrote down the ideas on paper in my own self-invented musical shorthand.

The ten compositions, when listened to in sequence form a musical story. This is best appreciated when you know the titles of each piece. I recorded the music in a professional studio in the Atlanta area. It was digitally mastered (recorded directly on to a computer disk drive) for the highest quality sound reproduction. The entire work is a little over forty-three minutes long. It is entirely instrumental and very soothing.
